Do I need to notify Flint Community Schools before withdrawing my student?+
No. Michigan requires no advance notice to Flint Community Schools or to the state before you begin homeschooling. You withdraw your student directly from the district. Yes. Existing credits are reviewed and applied toward HSOA’s 24-credit diploma requirement. In most cases, a student doesn’t start from zero. Enrollment is also open year-round, so switching mid-semester doesn’t mean losing the work done so far this year. How credit transfer works at HSOA.
What does homeschooling actually cost? We assumed it was more expensive than public school.+
HSOA charges tuition, as any accredited private school does.
