Refund & Withdrawal Policy

At High School of America, we are committed to helping every student reach graduation. This policy explains how refunds and withdrawals work, so that you can make informed decisions about your education.

Thinking About Withdrawing? Let’s Talk First.

Most challenges students face can be solved without leaving the program. Before you submit a withdrawal request, please give our team the opportunity to help. We can often assist with:

Pacing and scheduling — finding a study plan that fits your family, work or activities.

Academic support — guidance on difficult courses, course placement and graduation planning.

Technical assistance — help accessing the student portal, courses or exams.

Billing questions — reviewing your plan and payment options with you.

Refund Schedule

Business days 1–3Refund Available

Cancellation within 3 business days of enrollment

If you cancel within three (3) business days of the date you enrolled online, you will receive a refund of the tuition paid, less the 5% payment processing fee described below.

Business day 4 onwardNo Refund

Cancellation on or after the fourth business day

Beginning on the fourth (4th) business day after enrollment, tuition for the current billing month is non-refundable. A student who withdraws after this point remains responsible for all outstanding balances owed to the school.

Students on a monthly subscription plan may cancel future payments at any time. Cancellation stops upcoming charges, and access continues through the end of the current paid month.

Payment Processing Fee (5%)

All approved refunds are subject to a 5% payment processing fee, calculated on the total amount charged to your card. This fee covers the transaction charges assessed by our payment processor and financial institution, which are not returned to the school when a payment is refunded. Refunds are issued to the original method of payment.

Promotional and Discounted Enrollments

Full-year tuition enrollments purchased at a promotional or discounted rate are final and not eligible for a refund.

How to Withdraw

  1. Contact the Registrar’s Office to request an official Withdrawal Form.
  2. Complete and sign every section of the form.
  3. Return the signed form to the Registrar’s Office.

A student is not considered withdrawn until the completed, signed Withdrawal Form has been received by the Registrar’s Office. Refund eligibility is determined by the date the form is received.

Account Standing & Student Records

Transcripts, diplomas and other official records cannot be released while an account carries an outstanding balance. An account is restored to good standing once all outstanding balances have been paid in full. Access to coursework may also be suspended until the account is in good standing.
