Under O.C.G.A. § 20-2-690, Georgia parents who choose to home school complete three recurring actions each year. The process is straightforward by design. Georgia does not require state registration, curriculum approval, or ongoing reporting beyond the annual assessment. High School of America issues the homeschool diploma. The school registrar maintains the official transcript. Both come from the same school that instructed and graded the coursework. Georgia does not issue a state diploma to students operating under the Declaration of Intent statute. The school diploma and transcript together serve as the graduation credential for college applications, military entry, and employment.

Georgia does not regulate graduation requirements for home schools under O.C.G.A. § 20-2-690. The 26-credit graduation pathway is built to meet college-preparatory standards recognized by institutions across the University System of Georgia and throughout the country.

The diploma issued by High School of America names the student and the school. Georgia does not issue a state diploma to graduates operating under the Declaration of Intent statute.
